Ophthalmic Scribe

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team in Oakbrook and Oak Lawn, IL 60181. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology documentation and be proficient in using Nextech electronic health record (EHR) software. This role is essential in supporting ophthalmologists by accurately documenting patient encounters and ensuring efficient workflow within the clinic.

• Accurately document patient history, exam findings, and treatment plans during ophthalmic visits.
• Utilize Nextech EHR system to enter and manage patient data efficiently.
• Assist ophthalmologists by preparing charts and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support patient care and clinic operations.

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Scribe, preferably in a clinical ophthalmology setting.
• Proficiency with Nextech EHR software is required.
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
