Hours:

Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM;
Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. This position is primarily assigned to the General Surgery department. The Medical Assistant will support providers at multiple clinic locations and serve as a float MA to provide coverage as needed. Daily assignments may vary based on operational needs.

Pay Range $21.85 - $32.80

Job Description Summary Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

- Breast Surgery

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

AMG General Surgery is a multi-site surgical practice serving patients across several locations throughout the south and southwest suburbs, including Oak Lawn, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Beverly, and Trinity. Our team provides care for a wide range of general surgery conditions, including gallbladder disease, hernias, thyroid and parathyroid conditions, lipomas, cysts, melanoma, and other surgical needs. Our providers see a diverse patient population across multiple outpatient clinic locations, with clinic volume varying by provider and location.
