Nursing Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Supervisor to join our team at ALIYA of Oak Lawn, a premier long‑term care facility in Oak Lawn, Illinois. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the care of our residents on assigned units, ensuring high‑quality care and service. Shifts - Am, Pm & NOC
Duties and Responsibilities- Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned unit
- Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents to Administrator and Director of Nursing
- Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing
- Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible
- Perform nursing assessments regarding the health/status of residents
- Make daily rounds on unit to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met
- Review clinical records for completeness and accuracy as necessary
- Monitor, track, evaluate, and report infections
- Act as a resource for nursing staff
- Identify and provide orientation and continuing education for unit staff members
- Attend and actively participate in nursing supervisory meetings
- Lead a care team to ensure high‑quality care and service
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing plus 5-7 years of experience as a long‑term care nurse, with a minimum of two years supervisory experience in acute, sub‑acute, or long‑term care
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Proficient in the use of computer and programs utilized by the facility
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
