Key responsibilities of the RN – PICU – Pediatric Intensive Care include:
- Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric patients with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and Alaris IV technology
- Participate in high touch cleaning and preparation of patient rooms for admissions/discharges
Requirements of the RN – PICU – Pediatric Intensive Care include:
- 2 years of PICU RN experience
- Valid Illinois RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) highly preferred
