RN - Pediatric ICU (PICU) - Days/Nights | Illinois
Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric ICU (PICU) for a contract opportunity in Illinois.
Job Details
Pay: $60/hour
Schedule:
12-hour Days/Nights
Hours:
36 hours per week
Contract Dates:
August 10, 2026 - November 7, 2026
Weekend Rotation:
Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement:
As needed by the unit
On-Call:
None
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Float between PICU, PCICU, NICU, and General Pediatrics as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

- Respiratory illnesses
- Congenital heart disease
- Hematology/Oncology
- Post-operative patients
- Trauma
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience
- Active Illinois RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current PALS Certification
- NRP preferred
