The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost structures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, architects, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids and proposals.
  • Evaluate project risks and opportunities to ensure comprehensive cost assessments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to refine and validate estimates.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, market conditions, and construction methods.
  • Prepare and present estimate reports and summaries to management and clients.
  • Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Support the preparation of project schedules and timelines based on cost estimates.
  • Track and analyze project costs and variances to improve future estimating accuracy.
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Pro Est, Plan Swift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary $85,000-$95,000
