Oak Park and River Forest High School

, is a comprehensive public high school located in Oak Park, IL, a suburb eight miles due west of downtown Chicago. We are a one-school district, with the majority of our students coming from two sender districts, River Forest Public Schools District 90 and Oak Park Elementary School District 97. We offer more than 200 courses, a variety of programs for students with special needs, 103 clubs and activities, and 34 competitive sports.

We prepare our students well for post-secondary success, with an average ACT composite score of 24 and a 96% graduation rate.

Qualifications:

• Illinois Professional Educators License or ASEP Coaching Certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of the sport.
• Experience in coaching. High school coaching experience required.
• Minimum of 2+ hours per day – 6 days per week throughout the duration of the defined IHSA sport season.
• Additional time outside of season required in preparation for the season.

Job Description:

The Head Coach will work with and take direction from the Athletic Director. This is a stipend position for the entire duration of the defined IHSA sport season. The time commitment is 2+hours per day for 6 days per week during the season. Responsibilities for head coach will include preseason preparation and communication outside of daily practice times. The stipend amount is defined by the Faculty Senate contract.
