Overview
The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in 216 parishes in Cook County and Lake County, spanning 1,411 square miles. The Director of Music and Liturgy is responsible for enabling parishioners to encounter Jesus Christ through the music within liturgical celebrations and worship experiences of the parish. The director ensures that liturgical music assists believers to express the gift of faith within them and to bring a spirit of unity through music into the celebration. The director oversees development, implementation, evaluation and ongoing improvement of parish music initiatives and demonstrates leadership to identify, develop and retain volunteer leaders critical to parish ministry.
The position is on-campus in the parish office with hybrid opportunities as needed, housed at the St. Giles Campus in Oak Park.
