We are looking for a caring and reliable Food Service Person to join our preschool team for the summer! This person will be responsible for serving nutritious meals to children ages 2–5, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and following all food safety guidelines. The ideal candidate loves working around children and understands the importance of healthy eating during early childhood.

• Prepare and serve lunch in accordance with the school's meal plan and any dietary restrictions.
• Follow menus approved by the nutrition program and make substitutions as needed.
• Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and served safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas, including dishes and equipment.
• Keep accurate daily food production and temperature logs.
• Manage food inventory and communicate supply needs to the Director or Kids Klub Manager.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and center policies.
• Support teachers and staff during mealtime routines as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior food service experience preferred (experience in a preschool or childcare setting a plus).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (Food Handler’s Certificate required). This can be obtained after hiring.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Friendly, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

This position has an hourly salary of $17.00. An employee’s pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
