Retail Sales Associate

$16.60 to $19.60 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time Retail Sales Associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions per established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items per policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and be firearms certificated.
• May assist customers outside building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willing to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; can operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2 – 8 % commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview.
