All About On DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On‑Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On‑Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app that work best for you. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you choose to pick up a shift.
You are expected to pick up and work shifts once every four weeks (minimum four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts lure to respond or to work at least one shift within five months may lead to administrative termination. If accepted for the role, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short–term structured training schedule to prepare you for the role.
After that your only responsibility is to use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up desired shifts.
We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest‑format stores. You will be proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as cashiering, stocking, presentation, and price accuracy. You’ll provide exceptional guest service, customizing each experience and anticipating guest needs. Our Small Format Team Member role can develop skills in:
- Guest service fundamentals and a guest‑first culture across the store
- Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, pricing and promotion strategies, inventory management, and process efficiency & improvement
- Supporting daily/weekly workload to meet business priorities and sales goals
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing your daily tasks.
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Help guests as you complete workload with minimal disruption.
- Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock.
- Assist with truck unload and stock product to the sales floor.
- Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
- Conduct weekly price‑change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is accurate for all departments.
- Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support execution of major transitions.
- Maintain interior and exterior brand, including emptying garbage cans, attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, RVM maintenance (if applicable), and attending to spills throughout the store as needed.
- Accurately execute all pulls (daily fills, out‑of‑stock, manual and guest requests) and back‑stock product from all departments.
- Process all inbound deliveries using the receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Complete all back‑room weekly audits.
- Operate power equipment only if certified.
- Maintain back‑room organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines.
- Follow processes accurately, monitor progress, and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Work safely at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and act to correct them.
