$18.10 to $21.10 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $9.67 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/third key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The Assistant Store Manager will analyze store financial statements, ensure financial goals are met, commit to the company's asset protection program, promote the business, target new customer acquisitions, and work with a wide variety of merchandise.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers professionally and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring all procedures are followed for asset protection.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self‑development training as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work in multiple locations.
  • Must have a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Will work 40+ hours a week; hours not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate, operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
