Aire Serv of Oak Park has an immediate opening for an experienced HVAC Technician. In this role, you will service or repair (on your own) and install (with assistance) heating and air conditioning systems in mostly residential and some light commercial spaces.
Comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in doing work correctly the first time. We want a reliable, self‑motivated technician who brings a positive attitude—someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do, but looks for ways to help with team and company goals. We’re also looking for someone who carefully follows the Aire Serv steps for world‑class service, from wearing the right uniform to treating every customer’s home with care.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, or service HVAC systems in homes, such as by identifying root causes (not just symptoms), operating diagnostic equipment, using hand and power tools properly, and reading blueprints
- Assist on installs while building skills over time, including split systems, duct work, air handlers, furnaces, boilers, condensers, thermostats, indoor air quality products, smart home devices and more
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
- Recommend upgrades, new HVAC systems, and indoor‑air‑quality products to customers and pass qualified install leads to our sales team
- Deliver an amazing customer experience and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Occasionally respond to after‑hours calls as needed
- At least 3 years of professional work experience as an HVAC technician
- Universal EPA Certification
- Live within 30 minutes of Oak Park
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Good with technology (like using an iPad and field service apps, creating digital estimates and invoices)
- Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 80 pounds
- Able to speak, read, and write English clearly for talking with customers and writing job notes
- Professional appearance and personality
- Professional work experience as a residential HVAC technician
- Classroom training in HVAC (certificate, diploma, degree, etc.)
- Experience servicing, maintaining, and/or installing boilers
- Experience using Service Titan
