Age Options

Here's an overview of the role:

The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) program at Age Options is a statewide program to empower Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud and abuse. You will be responsible for educating the general public and fraud through multiple avenues, providing outreach and education throughout suburban Cook County.

What are the Specifics (or at least some of them):

  • Coordinate outreach and presentations in suburban Cook County. This includes seeking out and contacting potential sites, attending health fairs and other events, and giving presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other community stakeholder agencies relevant to the scope of the SMP program to encourage long-term collaborations and development of SMP resource network.
  • Provide consultation and technical support to partner subgrantees regarding outreach strategies, volunteer recruitment, and data management as needed.
  • Answer calls for dedicated statewide Medicare fraud hotline and assist clients and their caregivers.
  • Track and report on outreach activities. Document and highlight client success stories
Experience and Skills

Who we are looking for:

  • A collaborator with education or experience equal to at least (4) years experience in a social services organization or public benefits work. Experience working with older adults or caregivers is a plus.
  • A relationship builder with experience conducting outreach and organizing events with community organizations, health care providers and community groups.
  • A communicator who has experience in developing and facilitating formal presentations
  • Spanish speaking a plus

The starting salary range for this role is $45,000-$52,000 annually; based upon an individual's experience, education and certifications.

In addition to your annual salary Age Options makes a 5% contribution to your 403(b) whether your contribute or not!!

This is a full time role and includes ability to participate in our medical, dental and vision plans

We work in a hybrid environment and this role will have responsibilities in the office and in the field as well as the ability to work remotely regularly. Field work will be 40-50%
