Mechanical Maintenance Technician
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance support, maintaining configuration control over critical and/or safety credited systems, maintaining the building and grounds and support systems, and performing upgrades to support new designs/hardware.
What You Will Do:
- Work under guidance and direction of Supervisor or Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Technicians by applying full understanding and proficiency in the following areas:
- Troubleshoot and repair primary process systems, uranium hexafluoride process gas system, coarse and fine vacuum systems, and other secondary systems.
- Assist in design, installation, test, and approval of new process systems.
- Machine and fabricate parts as required to support facility operations and the Test program using conventional/numerical control machines, various methods of welding, sheet metal working, etc.
- Repair, inspect and certify all hoists, overhead bridge and jib cranes, man lifts and dumb waiter.
- Maintain/upgrade all facility services and utilities including HVAC, sanitary water, drains, building structure, security gates, nitrogen systems, instrument air, plant chilled water systems.
- Perform system upgrades to achieve improved performance and reliability.
- Size, package and dispose of solid and liquid waste materials including classified and radiological contaminated items.
- Other Duties assigned.
- Maintain measuring and test equipment in current calibration.
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
