Maintenance Technician
Essential Functions:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and implement repairs and improvements on equipment and facility.
- May assist in training and supervision of maintenance staff.
- Provide routine electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry repairs.
- Provide routine service and repairs for HVAC systems, pumps, fans, and filters.
- Knowledge and experience with EMS systems.
- Knowledge and experience with CMMS systems.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety drawings.
- Perform locksmithing and keying for the facility.
- Provide maintenance and service of pool equipment, steam room, sauna room and hot tubs
- Perform and document routine inspections for safety.
- Provide assistance to the Facility Director to set priorities and solve identified problems.
- Notify Facilities and Executive Director of any maintenance in the facility that requires major repair.
- Respond to emergencies as required to minimize any interruptions of YMCA programs and services.
- Provide material purchasing, sorting, organizing, and salvaging.
- Track and maintain the operating expenses for facility.
- Maintain overall interior/exterior appearance of facility.
- Complete repair requests in a timely manner.
- Perform upkeep of grounds and buildings to include lawn mowing, shoveling, raking, painting and other maintenance as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The work is performed both indoors and outside.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman certification or engineering classes
- CFC Universal Certification
- NFPA Certification
- L License
- High Rise Fire Life Safety Certification
Salary starting at $30.00 per hour
