Job Summary
Position: Janitorial Supervisor
Location: Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala, FL
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Shift: Full‑time, day/evening/night shifts available based on facility needs
Travel: Job will require travel throughout Florida and Georgia
Job DescriptionWe’re looking for friendly, compassionate team players to join our housekeeping team and support the housekeeping (EVS) department leadership to maintain a high level of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital. The successful individual will help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that supports patient healing.
Responsibilities- Supervise a team of Specialty Project Techs based in Ocala.
- Perform floor projects, pressure washing, air duct cleaning, and minor facility repairs.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintain quality‑control programs.
- Manage supplies and ensure team members have necessary equipment.
- Assist with payroll and administrative duties as assigned.
- Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage.
- Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
- Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
- Assist team members and management to help the department operate efficiently.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
- Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
- GED or high school diploma required.
- Experience as a supervisor preferred.
- Preferred:
Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare).
- Stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
- Push and pull carts or equipment (over 100lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
- Handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
- Operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
