Seasonal Main Office, Ocean City, MD, US

Availability: Monday to Sunday, various operational hours and holidays

Seasonal: April/May-September/October

• Perform regular maintenance work, including but not limited to changing oils, replacing filters, and checking various components for wear and tear
• Maintain go-kart performance throughout the day, keep accurate documentation of repairs and parts inventory and special projects
• Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in go-karts
• Repair and replace faulty parts in the go-kart, such as engines, brakes, or steering systems
• Test drive go-karts to ensure they operate correctly
• Keep records of inspections, work orders, and all work performed
• Advise managers on modifications that can be made to improve the performance of the go-karts
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workshop
• Ensure safety standards and regulations are always met
• Provide detailed parts and supply information needed for repairs to management for approval
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management

• Proven work experience as a mechanic, preferably in go-karts or small engines
• Technical knowledge of go-kart systems and functions
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
• Proficient in problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn while providing attention to detail
• Attention to detail by following processes to ensure accuracy of recordkeeping and tasks performed
• Dependability Dependability is the ability to be responsible and reliable, follow through on your commitments and complete your work on time.
• Physical: Expect to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances in performing assigned tasks. It is essential you have the required stamina to stand, lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds).

Go-Kart Mechanic works in a fast-paced, exciting environment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift and carry heavy objects. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to work with a variety of people, as they will be interacting with employees of all ages and backgrounds.
