We are looking for a Seasonal Engineer. This person would be eligible for full‑time hours through the season, ending around 9/07/2026.
The General Maintenance Engineer will perform routine maintenance throughout both properties and will monitor, operate, and maintain the mechanical equipment in all areas. Must be able to work on their own with little or no supervision and be available 24/7. Regularly required to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds. This person should possess general troubleshooting skills to repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and HVAC equipment.
Must be able to do general facilities maintenance to include, but not limited to, replace light switches, outlets, light fixtures, and work on basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment. Familiar with basic OSHA safety requirements and fire life safety systems. This person should have some painting and patching skills. Good communication skills and a basic proficiency with computers are required.
This list is not all‑encompassing and daily work tasks may be altered to meet business needs. The rate for this position ranges from $22.49–$26.00 per hour.
Safety RequirementsOSHA laws require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that pose a potential risk to health or safety. The following is a list of some of the devices required; this list is not all‑inclusive due to the nature of the work conducted in the Engineering Department.
- Protective gloves, eye protection, breathing protection, hearing protection, lock‑out/tag‑out protection and any other equipment as necessary to provide a safe working environment.
- Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures.
All work duties conducted by Engineering personnel will be evaluated and regular, scheduled training and refresher training will be conducted as required by law. Associates will be trained on the use and care of any and all required PPE equipment. The hotel provides this required PPE and it is the responsibility of the engineer to wear this equipment as it relates to daily work assignments.
It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged, or lost PPE to your manager.
- Possess good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Able to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to read and write the English language fluently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and an Energy Management System.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Applicants with additional language skills are a plus.
- Long hours sometimes required, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in confined spaces as necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for long hours and comfortably work at all heights; must be able to climb ladders, etc.
