Facilities Assistant (Mobile Medical Coach Backup Driver)

Position SummaryThe Facilities Assistant is primarily responsible for day‑to‑day facilities maintenance, repairs, and operational support across Harmony Healthcare Long Island sites. In addition, the role serves as the designated backup driver for the Mobile Medical Coach, operating the vehicle safely when required.
Responsibilities- Day‑to‑day facility maintenance & cleaning.
- Maintenance of structural surfaces.
- Assist with general maintenance, painting and other light construction duties.
- Participate in installation and maintenance of furnishings.
- Handle various building projects and any reconstruction or renovation as directed.
- Assist Fire and Safety program.
- Arrange for meeting setup and refreshments as needed.
- Monitor all work order requests logged through Track‑it and ensure appropriate action within agreed timescales.
- Manage complaints received by the Health Center to enhance the company's credibility.
- Perform other projects and duties assigned from time to time.
- Help set up and wrap special events when needed.
- Run various errands within the health center radius.
- Support facilities projects on a regular basis.
- Deliver results – take accountability, ensuring productive, efficient execution.
- Work a flexible schedule when necessary.
- Maintain a strong sense of surroundings and discretion.
- Work with building tenants to keep the facility well serviced and maintained.
- Ensure building systems and safety equipment operate optimally.
- Participate in client meetings or conference calls as needed.
- Perform occasional hands‑on maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment (electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry, landscaping, HVAC).
- Provide input on future equipment selection and infrastructure allocation.
- Collect data and produce routine reports and follow‑up measures related to project operations.
- Identify specialty vendors and contractors for service, maintenance and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain accurate trackers and logs for vendor interactions.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, spare parts, and operator’s manuals.
- Recommend and participate in continuous improvement and quality activities.
- Groundskeeping: supervise the grounds, maintain a clean appearance, and perform janitorial duties.
- Serve as a backup driver for the Mobile Medical Coach, a 40‑foot mobile healthcare unit.
- Safely operate the Mobile Coach to scheduled outreach locations when coverage is needed.
