This position is a rotational maintenance technician responsible for the repair and maintenance of gas compression equipment in the Odessa, Texas region of our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate compressor station equipment, plant facilities and pipeline facilities including prime movers and compressors, valves, filters, separators, dehydrators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment to meet production and product throughput requirements in a reliable and efficient manner while complying with the company’s procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Plan, organize, prioritize, communicate, and coordinate work with employees and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and effectively.
- Provide budgetary information, schedule work and outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate needed resources.
- Interpret and utilize drawings, schematics, loading curves, OEM manuals, and other technical resources in the performance of assigned work.
- Effectively and safely use hand tools, power tools, and portable and mobile work equipment in hazardous, classified, and non‑hazardous environments.
- Utilize precision measurement equipment to determine dimensions and set operating equipment clearances and tolerances.
- Maintain equipment records, logs, inventory, and other documentation required by corporate procedures and regulatory agencies.
- Provide training and leadership to develop and maintain effective work crews, depending on the level hired.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, perform associated tasks, and complete required documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
- Maintain facilities, grounds, and work areas in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner.
- Actively participate and provide leadership in safety programs and initiatives while following policies and procedures.
- Provide on‑call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis.
- Perform energy isolation lock‑out/tag‑out procedures (LOTO).
- Maintain truck tool inventory when on hitch.
- Keep truck clean and orderly.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of relevant industry experience; 2–4 years; and 4+ years for senior positions.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Ability to be certified as a USDOT driver under FMCSA may be required based on applicable law and geographic work area.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Experience troubleshooting ADEM III and ADEM IV compressors and performing major/minor maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment.
- Proficiency with computers, including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook, and other computer‑based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and online work applications and documentation.
