Salary: $17 to $23.74 Per Hour

To provide a safe, clean, attractive, and efficiently maintained building for students and teachers to learn and develop scholastically.

To demonstrate the aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.

Experience:

2 to 5 years as a custodian.

• Directs and oversees responsibilities for other custodians.
• Has responsibility for opening and closing the building, controlling the temperature, and ensuring general cleanliness.
• Instructs custodial staff in the use of equipment, chemicals, and materials.
• Responsible for training and evaluating the building custodial staff.
• Assists in developing work and time schedules for custodians.
• Assumes responsibility for care and condition of equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for ordering and maintaining inventory of custodial and housekeeping supplies.
• Performs inspections of building conditions and reports to the principal or supervisor.
• Assumes responsibility for directing minor building repairs (mechanical, electrical, carpentry).
• Responsible for cleaning a portion of the building, the same as a regular custodian.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
