Job SummaryPosition can be filled at any level of the approved career ladder depending on applicant qualifications. The role provides basic landscape and snow removal services to all Weber State University campuses.
Responsibilities- Perform basic landscape maintenance tasks.
- Operate power tools and equipment normally associated with landscape maintenance.
- Assist with basic maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
- Assist with basic plant maintenance duties.
- Provide snow removal services during snow events and call‑ins.
Required:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- A valid Utah Driver License is a condition of employment.
- Must be able to operate power tools and equipment normally associated with landscape maintenance.
Preferred:
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment normally associated with landscape maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
- Basic knowledge of plant maintenance.
Background check required as a condition of employment.
Physical RequirementsPhysical Activity: ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other equipment. Agility and balance are emphasized. Tasks include bending, lifting, lifting and moving heavy objects, operating manual and powered equipment, and using upper extremities to press, pull, or push. Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers may be required.
Physical Requirements:
proficiency in very heavy work, including exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 50 pounds of force frequently, or 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
