Newburgh Health and Rehab

Newburgh Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the physical plant, safety systems, and overall maintenance operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, life safety compliance, and regulatory requirements within healthcare or long-term care settings.

Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee all building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure compliance with life safety, fire, OSHA, and state/federal regulatory requirements
  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and vendor services
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies
  • Manage environmental safety and support survey readiness
  • Maintain maintenance records, logs, and compliance documentation
  • Lead and support maintenance staff while promoting accountability and efficiency
Qualifications:
  • Previous maintenance leadership experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
  • Understanding of life safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively in urgent situations
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
