Smelter Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at Warrick Smelter, you will supervise, advise, and coordinate mechanics to execute maintenance on rotating equipment, PLCs, hydraulic/pneumatic circuits, and conveyors. The position may require working first or second shift with weekend work.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures on shift and collect data for reliability analysis.
• Lead safety pre‑job reviews and observe work completion.
• Improve efficiency and quality of work performed by crew.
• Address emergency jobs promptly.
• Submit accurate reports of work execution activities.
• Coordinate company policies with personnel.
• Maintain liaison with production, support groups, maintenance planners, engineers, and other supervisors.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of heavy‑industry maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
• Experience using a CMMS and applying process data to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and material conveying systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes, and standards.
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Preferred: HVAC maintenance experience.
