Location: McArthur

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician works closely with maintenance management, operations, and plant engineers. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor located in McArthur, Ohio.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues with process equipment.

* Conduct preventative maintenance work orders.

* Disassemble/install new equipment, sensors, machines, etc.

* Perform tasks such as parts replacements, cleaning, etc.

* Inspect equipment and systems for stability and quality.

Education and Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2+ years previous maintenance experience

* Experience in explosive manufacture preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

* Possess an understanding of electrical systems and be able to read and understand wiring diagrams.

* Possess an understanding of mechanical systems and be able to read and understand detail and process & instrumentation drawings.

* Possess an understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

* Effective problem-solving abilities.

* Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

* Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks.

Work Environment

This position requires no travel. Time will be spent in all areas of the plant, both indoors and outdoors, in all-weather elements.
