Detailer & General Laborer – Heavy Duty Trucks

Hill Idealease, Martins Ferry, OH, the leading medium‑ and heavy‑duty truck and trailer dealership in the tri‑state area, is currently seeking a part‑time heavy truck/automotive detailer and general laborer to thoroughly clean and maintain large commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, and other vehicles. This role requires shop maintenance and light janitorial duties in our service and leasing department.

• Wash and the exterior of vehicles – body, wheels, tires, windows using specialized agents and tools.
• Detail the interior – vacuum, dust, wipe surfaces, shampoo carpets and upholstery.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and wear, ensuring all components are operational.
• Polish and wax the exterior to maintain a shiny protective finish.
• Apply protective coatings on the exterior to prevent rust and corrosion.
• Perform frame and chassis rust removal and descaling.
• Prep surfaces and vehicle chassis for paint or coating application.
• Apply single‑stage frame paints and coatings.
• Keep the detailing area and equipment clean and organized.
• Communicate with customers to understand detailing needs and preferences.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenanceli>
• Perform grounds‑keeping duties as needed.
• Perform light janitorial tasks as required.
• Maintain the service department area.
• Jump‑start vehicles as needed.
• Assist staff with other tasks as assigned.

• Mechanical aptitude required; prior maintenance experience a plus.
• 1+ year prior detailing experience preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

• High School Diploma.
• Valid driver’s license with no accidents or traffic violations in the last five years.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, sit/drive for extended periods.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (or as needed).

• Flexible schedule.
