Overview

PositionMaintenance Supervisor works in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate the maintenance and equipment needs of the facilities.
Responsibilities- Ensure the facilities and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards, and fiscal considerations.
- Develop, implement, and review regularly site-specific maintenance logs for each facility.
- Conduct inspections of each facility with the relevant manager; provide a summary of maintenance recommendations.
- Evaluate long-term needs in relation to major projects and property improvements; develop a five-year plan outlining these needs in cooperation with relevant consultants designated by the agency.
- Coordinate, arrange, and supervise or arrange for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with agency operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations.
- Ensure facilities equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement.
- Develop, implement, and review equipment records (included in maintenance logs) using CMMS system.
- Establish procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipment requiring minor repairs on a frequent basis.
- Secure equipment bids and make recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required.
- Assist with the purchasing of spare parts and maintaining equipment inventory.
- May arrange for or provide training for personnel as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of facilities.
- Provide staff training in a variety of safety and maintenance topics including the effective utilization of the maintenance logs, completion of routine maintenance specific to the facility, equipment operations, and so forth.
- Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in all phases of building and/or machine maintenance.
- 1-3 years of experience with machine automation, including robotics
- 1-3 years supervising/leading a team of technicians
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders both caged and uncaged as well as stairs and other equipment.
- Capable of walking long distances.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Capable of working and operating man lifts at a height of 35 feet in the air.
