The city of Wolmirstedt with its districts Elbeu, Farsleben, Glindenberg and Mose is located only a few kilometers north of the state capital Magdeburg between the Magdeburger Börde and Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide and belongs to the district Börde. Today, about 11,700 inhabitants live here in the corner between the rivers Ohre and Elbe. You can reach Wolmirstedt via the nearby A14/A2 freeways and subsequently via the B189 from Magdeburg or Stendal, or by train using the S-Bahn service close to the city.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a new colleague for a permanent full-time position as soon as possible

Remuneration is in accordance with TVöD-VKA in pay group 4.

• Maintenance and care work on municipal roads and buildings, paths and squares;
• Care, maintenance, repair and preservation of basic and working equipment;
• If necessary, use or operation of vehicles, machines and equipment for green maintenance;
• Street cleaning, wastebasket emptying, market cleaning;
• Winter service;
• Perception of on-call duty;
• Support in the preparation and follow-up (clean-up) of city events;

• As a prerequisite:
  • Completed training in gardening and landscaping, road construction, wood/metal construction, locksmith, mechatronics engineer, concrete construction or comparable technical qualification
  • Open-mindedness for the diverse tasks of our building yard
  • versatile technical understanding as well as manual skills and interest
  • Safe and sound knowledge in handling machines and tools
  • Flexibility in the organization of working hours (evening hours, weekend work, seasonal additional requirements)
  • Commitment and special ability to work independently
  • High physical performance, ability to work in a team and cooperate
  • Fundamental willingness to learn (training, courses, qualifications)
  • At least a class B driver’s license
• We wish:

  • that you have the motivation and ability to familiarize yourself with the conditions and requirements on site and to acquire new knowledge and experience;
  • the ability to drive motorized chain saws, brush cutters and hedge trimmers;
  • Class BE driver’s license and willingness to drive city vehicles if necessary.
