Step 0: $21.19 per hour (260 x 8 hr x $21.19 = $44,075.20) - prorated based on start date. 10 days vacation after 1 full year, earns monthly sick leave and 3 days personal leave. Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance offered.

SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to understand and follow instructions;
Basic Math and Writing skills, email and computer skills - Ability to give instructions and lead others
- Physically demanding job including but not limited to walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, crouching, crawling, lifting, reaching, using hands to operate and use objects, tools and controls
- Reports to:
Building Principal in day to day operations and human relations. - Maintenance Supervisor in repair, maintenance and cleaning procedures;
Approval of sick leave/vacation/personal, etc. - Immediate supervisor is the building principal. When school is closed and the principal isn't on duty, the Custodial Supervisor becomes the immediate supervisor.
To provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff at the building level. Maintains the housekeeping, building security, and preventive maintenance program for the building. Maintain the building (or building space) in a clean, attractive, healthy and safe condition.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT- Twelve (12) Month contract or Nine (9) Month Contract
- Eight (8) hours per day with 30 minute unpaid lunch
One cooperative review by the Building Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.

- 3. GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
- 3.01 Completes daily assignments
- 3.02 Lets need for additional supplies be known to the maintenance supervisor; orders supplies & controls inventory
- 3.03 Secures the building
- 3.04 Develops a planned cleaning schedule for summer work
- 3.05 Maintains a safe school environment
- 3.06 Sees and initiates action in areas of need
- 3.07 Keeps abreast of new cleaning procedures
- 3.08 Uses time wisely
- 3.09 Confers with Principal regularly and/or on daily basis
- 4. RESPONSIBILITIES
- 4.01 Cleans and maintains assigned building space and assists in other spaces when needed
- 4.02 Makes minor repairs and reports the need for other repairs to the maintenance supervisor
- 4.03 Properly cleans all floor surfaces i.e. sweeps, scrubs, mops and buffs floors
