Service Technician

Overview

We are seeking a Service Technician for one of our clients in Minster, OH. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and is on-site with one of their clients. Our client is a worldwide leader in Mobile Robotics, based out of Boston. As a service technician, you will maintain a fl eet of robotic forklifts at a primary customer site. You will maintain and repair the equipment effi ciently.

Up to 10% of travel to secondary customer sites should be expected.

• Troubleshoot and repair robotic lift truck equipment as needed, including lasers, sensors, and communication equipment as needed
• Document action plans and fi nal resolutions for all support services provided
• Regular maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacing worn parts
• Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for users as necessary
• Perform the robot retrofi ts and upgrades as necessary
• Provide support during the installation and ramp-up of projects
• Test new hardware
• Conducting routine inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
• Performing test & quality checks to ensure that equipment and systems are functioning properly
• Calibrate robotic AGVs to ensure optimal performance

• Maintain customer satisfaction at a high level
• Resolve issues with the robot and the forklift vehicle in a timely manner
• Maintain open lines of communication on the health of the robotic fl eet
• Work with Customer Success to ensure Balyo delivers on its performance guarantees

• 3-5 years of mechanic experience in automotive, aviation, or forklifts is required.
• Experience with electrical forklifts as a technician (preferred)
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and charging systems
• Present a professional image in appearance and preparation.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Profi cient with MS Offi ce Suite. (preferred)
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
