Temporary Equine Center Facility/Grounds Assistant

Employment Period:
May 1, 2026 through October 1, 2026

Shift: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday

• Keep facility neat and clean at all times
• Maintain facility equipment and vehicles, keep service records, perform or schedule preventative maintenance
• Maintain records and charts
• Use tractor with attachments to perform various field, arena and grounds maintenance tasks
• Perform landscaping duties such as weed removal, planting, mowing, shoveling walkways and driveways, and some light carpentry and facility repairs
• Other duties may be assigned

• Education:
  
  High school diploma
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  Ohio Driver's license; ability to obtain and maintain a Decision Driving Certificate through Otterbein

  Must demonstrate competency in reading and understanding Instruction Manuals

  Must be competent in general math to perform gas mix ratios
• Reasoning Ability:
  Must possess excellent attention to detail and be a team player who interacts collegially with co-workers and other stakeholders

Must be able to spend prolonged periods of time working in a dusty environment; reach and lift up to 80 pounds; hear and be heard by co-workers; see to process work; work under deadlines and with constant interruptions.

The position is at an Equine Facility. Employees must work in all temperatures and weather conditions. The environment is very dusty. Breaks off premises are difficult due to time and distance constraints. A heated break room and lavatory are provided.
