EducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
RequiredBCI/FBI background check (renewed every five years per ORC §3319.39 and §); completion of all annual Public School Works training.
Reports ToMaintenance Supervisor;
Superintendent;
Administrator; or Designee
195/260 days (based upon experience); hours per day upon assignment

PreferredValid Ohio driver's license; prior cleaning or custodial experience.
Duties- Maintains a good attendance and punctuality record.
- Shows respect at all times in language and actions to school personnel, pupils, and visitors, and cooperatively works with others productively.
- Follows school policy, safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains a neat and appropriate appearance.
- Responsible for general cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, cafeteria, and other facilities as assigned.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and scrubs floors using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms including fixtures, mirrors, partitions, and floors; restocks supplies.
- Empties trash and recycling receptacles; transports waste to designated collection areas.
- Dusts and wipes surfaces including desks, tables, countertops, ledges, light fixtures, and vents.
- Handles, mixes, and stores cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and district protocols.
- Reports safety hazards, facility damage, suspicious activity, and maintenance needs to the supervisor or building administrator promptly.
- Cleans up work area as required.
- Notifies supervisor of problems with proper operation of equipment used and other job-related irregularities.
- Keeps supervisor informed of all cleaning and maintenance supply needs.
- Assists with setup and teardown of furniture and equipment for school events as directed.
- Performs all other related duties as may be assigned.
