ScheduleMostly After School & Evenings—Typically 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm or as needed
Varied number of days—on call.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to understand and perform simple oral and written instructions such as chemical labels.
- Sufficient physical strength to perform a number of routine custodial tasks.
- Dusting and wet mopping floors using treated dust mops, wet mops, buckets, and ringers.
- Washing walls and windows using supplied chemicals and a variety of tools.
- Daily disinfecting and cleaning of all bathroom fixtures and surfaces using school supplied chemicals and tools.
- Vacuuming, shampooing, and extracting of carpets.
- Daily removal of garbage and trash from the buildings and placing into dumpsters outside.
- Clean and maintain custodial equipment.
- Employees are required to use acid and alkaline based chemicals.
- Occasionally employees will be exposed to bodily fluids and blood spills.
- Employees are expected to wear gloves, eye protection and any PPE required for job tasks.
- Employees are expected to spend 80% of their time on their feet performing job tasks.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting and reaching is required.
- Lifting of objects weighing 50 lbs and pushing or pulling of objects weighing 50 or more pounds may be required.
$18.00 per hour
