A Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the community’s physical plant, grounds and equipment in order to ensure a safe environment.
Responsibilities- Assists in maintaining the grounds including mowing, weeding, raking, trimming, and shoveling of dirt and snow
- Conducts minor repairs and paints
- Lifts and moves equipment and furniture
- Performs heavy scrubbing, waxing and buffing
- Cleans and maintains sprinklers, exhaust system and filters
- Attend required in-service education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Previous job or experience in a similar role
- Compassionate, team player, social, trustworthy and service-minded
- Self‑motivated, dependable, ethical, and ready to provide outstanding care and customer service to residents
