Maintenance Technician

Pay or shift range: $28 USD to $30 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

The 1st shift Facilities Maintenance Technician works in cooperation with DC General Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor to perform the maintenance of equipment and facilities of an automated distribution center.

Responsibilities for Conveyor Maintenance Tech:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Assist with installation, setup, and modification of manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment or facility issues before they become major problems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Support facility upkeep, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair needs.

Qualifications for Maintenance Tech:

• 2-4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Must have previous conveyor experience.
• Must be familiar with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, AC motors and variable frequency drives.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Candidates should be technically proficient, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Language Requirements:

• Ability to hear, read, comprehend, write, and communicate.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Regularly required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders both caged and un‑caged as well as stairs and other equipment.
• Continually required to stand and walk.
• Manually lift certain items (routinely requires the ability to lift 50 pounds but may require the ability to lift up to 100 pounds).
• Ability to work at heights up to 30’.
