3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Mom's Meals, a mission-driven provider of refrigerated, ready-to-heat meals, is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician for our Ankeny, Iowa production facility. In this role, you will keep food production and packaging equipment running safely and reliably through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs in a refrigerated environment. You'll support a fast-paced operation that serves vulnerable populations, working closely with production teams, following strict safety and GMP standards, and contributing to continuous improvement in our growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food production and packaging equipment during 3rd shift
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues to minimize downtime
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and food safety compliance
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests from production and sanitation teams
• Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and repair histories in CMMS or logs
• Support installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and conveyor systems
• Follow all safety, Lockout/Tagout, and GMP procedures in a refrigerated food environment
• Collaborate with operations to improve equipment performance and reduce recurring issues
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and work areas in clean, organized condition
• Participate in shift handoffs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
