Position Summary
The Facilities Supervisor leads the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of PBE's buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. This role manages the facility preventative maintenance program, coordinates outside contractors and vendors, and directs facility-related projects across the Dunbridge and Bowling Green locations. The Facilities Supervisor leads a team of Facility Technicians and Custodians, ensuring they are trained, engaged, and safe, and serves as a visible leader for PBE's values and Great Place to Work practices.

This role manages the facility preventative maintenance program, coordinates outside contractors and vendors, and directs facility-related projects across the Dunbridge and Bowling Green locations. The Facilities Supervisor leads a team of Facility Technicians and Custodians, ensuring they are trained, engaged, and safe, and serves as a visible leader for PBE's values and Great Place to Work practices.
WhatYou'll Do Preventative Maintenance Program
- Implement, manage, and train the team on a Facility PM program tailored to PBE, including planning and scheduling PM tasks in eMaintenance.
- Inspect facilities and review inspection reports to determine needed repairs, replacements, or improvements.
- Investigate and determine root cause of facility equipment failures, and maintain up-to-date work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with Maintenance to build and maintain a complete, accurate list of facility equipment assets in the PM program.
- Direct the day-to-day activities of Facility Technicians and Custodians, and serve as on-call support for facility issues across all shifts at both locations.
- Track labor and material costs for building operations and special projects.
- Solicit and review contractor and vendor bids, create POs, and approve completed work; ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Purchase building and maintenance supplies, machinery, equipment, and furniture as needed.
- Respond to office facility requests, including conference room setup, cubicle moves, and similar needs.
- Serve as backup for the Department Manager in their absence.
- Manage scheduling, assignments, and time and attendance for the facilities team.
- Partner with HR to select, onboard, and train new Facility associates.
- Coach associates on their role, company mission, and team engagement; provide regular, constructive feedback.
- Foster a culture of cooperation, trust, and open communication within the team and across departments.
- Ensure annual Contractor Safety Training is completed for all contractors and vendors before work begins.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment, including training on lockout/tagout points, equipment, and resources.
- Promote compliance with safety policies and drive proactive improvements toward zero recordables.
- Lead completion of safety incident investigations, identifying root cause and corrective actions.
- 5+ years of experience in Facilities or Manufacturing Preventative Maintenance, including directing, planning, or coordinating activities.
- One-year certificate in Building Maintenance Technology or a related field plus two years of related experience, or a two-year degree with two years of related experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Mechanical knowledge of building and facility equipment.
- Strong planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to become proficient in Concur, eMaintenance, and PO approval in QAD.
