Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Assistant ROLE PURPOSE

Join a small, dedicated team caring for the serene and inspiring campus of the Krishnamurti Center. This is more than a maintenance role; it’s an opportunity to contribute to a peaceful environment that supports reflection, learning, and connection with nature. As a key member of our facilities and grounds team, you’ll work closely with the Facilities Manager to help steward our 10-acre property, including olive and orange orchards, gardens, and buildings.

• Care for and maintain our scenic 10-acre campus, including orchards and natural landscapes
• Support the upkeep and repair of buildings and infrastructure across the property
• Perform a variety of hands-on tasks, including carpentry, basic electrical and plumbing work, and general repairs
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools such as chainsaws, weed whackers, and other equipment
• Work safely on ladders and in a variety of outdoor conditions

• Experience or strong interest in groundskeeping, orchard care, and land stewardship
• Practical skills in general maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
• Comfort using gas-powered tools and working outdoors
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
• Willingness to complete a Live Scan background check (including fingerprinting)

Pay & Hours

• $23 per hour
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage
• 401(k) with 3% employer match after two years

The Krishnamurti Center LLC is part of the Krishnamurti Foundation of America Trust (KFA). The KFA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to disseminate and preserve the teachings of J.Krishnamurti and run schools and centers based upon these teachings. The Krishnamurti Center LLC is the operational arm of the KFA. The Center runs the retreat, library, orchard, development office, programs, archives, and publications.
