Maintenance - Level I

Overview

ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance - Level I in Okeechobee, Florida. ELS has a culture of recognition and reputation for excellence, offering opportunities to develop a long and successful career.

• As a Maintenance Worker, perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to keep the community safe, functional, and well-maintained. Duties include light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and janitorial tasks.
• Work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team to uphold high-quality standards and support a positive experience for all residents and guests.
• Ensure all amenity spaces are well maintained, clean, and functioning properly.
• Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Work with management to uphold a clean, safe, and appealing property environment.
• Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments, scheduled work, and maintenance priorities.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with fellow maintenance staff, management, and other team members; collaborate on special maintenance projects as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns to management and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Safely move heavy objects and operate maintenance vehicles to transport equipment or reach locations around the property.
• Monitor, organize, and control maintenance inventory and supplies to ensure needed materials are available.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned to support overall property operations.

• A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely work with heavy equipment.
• Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies as needed.
