ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance
- Level I in Okeechobee, Florida. Maintenance Worker – Job Description As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair duties that support the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community. This role is essential to maintaining the high-quality standards established by ELS. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the property remains clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, guests, and staff.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry work, painting, janitorial duties, and basic electrical troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure all amenity spaces are clean, safe, fully operational, and properly maintained.
- Maintain the grounds by keeping all areas free of trash, debris, and hazards.
- Work closely with management to uphold a clean, safe, and aesthetically appealing property at all times.
- Attend daily morning staff meetings to review scheduled work, vendor appointments, and assigned maintenance priorities.
- Communicate consistently and professionally with fellow maintenance team members, management, and other staff.
- Collaborate on special projects and assist with larger maintenance or improvement initiatives as needed.
- Identify, report, and address maintenance concerns promptly, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
- Safely move and handle heavy objects and materials as part of routine job duties.
- Operate and drive maintenance vehicles and trucks to various locations throughout the property when required.
- Monitor, organize, and manage maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational needs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current auto insurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate heavy equipment and tools.
- Willingness and availability to be on call for after-hours emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
