- May pick up mail from the local post office using a company vehicle
- May collect, sort, or deliver mail or other documents and materials internally or externally
- Determines proper class of mail and applies postage using a postage meter
- Prepares packages for courier distribution
- Maintains address database
- Maintains related departmental records and files
- Operates equipment which may include a personal computer, telephone, copier, scanner, shredder, folder, postage meter, electric and manual skid mover, etc.
- Assists with hand stuffing / collating projects and other department projects as assigned
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a valid (State of Michigan) driver’s license
- Ability to work an assigned eight‑hour schedule between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Successful completion of a physical and job‑related functional screening assessment
- Ability to repetitively lift 40 lbs., infrequently lift 70 lbs., and push/pull 67.5 lbs.
- Must possess a basic understanding in the use and operation of a personal computer
