Griffin Memorial Hospital‑Annex (GMH Annex) is a 30‑bed inpatient facility located in Norman, OK, providing recovery‑focused care for individuals found incompetent to stand trial or adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) or Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Illness (NGRMI). The Housekeeping/Custodial Worker maintains a clean, safe environment in this 24‑hour facility.
About the PositionHousekeeping/Custodial Workers perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash disposal. Training is provided for advanced tasks like disposal of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials. Workers may also be responsible for handling hazardous or restricted items as required.
Schedule & CompensationFull‑time, Monday–Friday, 6:30a.m.–3:00p.m. (Non‑exempt)
- LevelII: $14.66/hour
- LevelI: $13.70/hour
- Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposal of trash throughout the facility.
- Clean patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and work spaces.
- Follow protocols for disposal of hazardous or restricted materials.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards for a 24‑hour, 30‑bed inpatient environment.
- LevelII:
One year of building or institutional custodial work, or equivalent education/experience. - LevelI:
No prior experience required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
- Must pass pre‑employment and pre‑placement drug and alcohol screening.
- Position is safety‑sensitive; negative drug test required for appointment.
- Potential work on weekends and overtime, as operational needs require.
- Coverage 24hours, 7days per week; hours and location may vary.
