To carry out the custodial responsibilities in maintaining buildings as outlined in the YOKC Maintenance Manual. Minimal direction and supervision are necessary for this position, must be a self-starter!
Ensure mirrors/windows/glass were cleaned daily
Trash management (emptied and wipe containers)
Vacuum all carpet areas
Toilet/Urinal/Sink clean and disinfect
Refill and clean dispensers
Showers disinfect and clean throughout the day and as needed
Scrub/mop hard floors (maintain clean flooring surfaces)
Assist with deep clean (carpet, tile, etc.)
High dust
Assist with stairwell/running track detail
Air dispenser cartridge change
Assist with exterior window cleaning
Report any facility issues through supervisor
Secure facility at the end of shift
Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers
Assist in all other duties that pertain to janitorial
The custodial position plays a critical role in the overall success of the organization. It does this by providing one of the essential tools required in achieving the goals of the association; a safe, clean, enjoyable environment.
The incumbent will also work hours outside of operational hours. This position requires regular travel to facilities in the OKC metro and surrounding cities.
Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
Must complete officials training
Must complete all required Redwoods Trainings within 30 days of hire and renewed annually
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of experience in custodial work
Must have good communication skills, and the ability to follow directions
Able to use technology to report facility issues and time management
