Utility Technician

Niagara seeks a Utility Technician to maintain and operate utility systems including compressed air, process water, product water, and electrical distribution, ensuring a safe and clean work environment throughout the facility.

• Maintain compressed air systems and equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks, schedules, and operational data.
• Maintain electrical distribution and equipment, performing preventive maintenance tasks, schedules, and data tracking.
• Maintain process water and product water systems, performing preventive maintenance and data collection.
• Operate and maintain filtration systems, changing filters as needed.
• Perform CIP cycles on storage silos, filtering equipment, and supply lines.
• Maintain pumps and piping to ensure water supply to production lines and support equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate ozone production and monitoring equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate mineral injection systems (plant specific).
• Maintain and operate process water, chemical injection, and transfer equipment.
• Assist with filler sanitizations.
• Maintain and operate reverse osmosis equipment, including CIP on membranes and monitoring instruments.
• Maintain air compressors and air dryers.
• Maintain cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers, and pumps.

• 3–5 years of experience in the field or a related position (experience may combine work and education).
• Preferred: 5–7 years of experience in the field or position.
• In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with compressed air, reverse osmosis, piping, and pumping systems.
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to resolve issues promptly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High school diploma required; associate’s degree in water chemistry or microbiology preferred.
• State‑certified skilled trade journeyman status in a relevant trade (preferred).
