The Facility Services Support Technician (custodian) is a multi-skill position that performs a variety of tasks in support of the Facility Services Department. The primary role of this position is to provide a security presence and perform floor care maintenance tasks, along with other tasks assigned to each individual person.
Essential Functions:
- Observes and promotes safe work practices and procedures.
- After hours point of contact for Facility Services Department.
- Provides a first response to after-hours maintenance request.
- Removes trash/linen/bio-waste, and stocks linen.
- Performs security rounds.
- Responds to emergency codes.
- Completes task incident reports.
- Cleans minor spills.
- Provides routine floor care maintenance.
- Makes surveillance rounds
- Locks/unlocks doors.
- Provides escort.
- Spreads ice melt during winter weather
- Removes litter from grounds.
- Pressure washes, cleans windows, and any other tasks assigned, etc.
- Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must successfully pass criminal background check.
- Must complete and/or take all required health screenings and vaccines.
