Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, test, and repair product returned from the field and answer service request phone calls for assistance.
- Test and evaluate products to ensure proper operation to established criteria.
- Troubleshoot electronic products to the component level, when applicable, to determine root cause and appropriate corrective action.
- Properly set up and operate general electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, meters, power supplies, service monitors, test fixtures, field strength meters, RF power measuring equipment, and software simulators for product testing and evaluation.
- Operate hand tools, small power tools, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and understand their use and function.
- Perform required repairs and modifications to restore unit to proper operation.
- Inspect all work and participate in the visual inspection cross‑check process.
- Maintain the integrity of the documentation process and complete necessary reports.
- Keep supervisor apprised of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect Service, Operations, or customers.
- Provide support to the Operations organization and handle miscellaneous assignments as instructed.
- Operate PC‑based computer equipment in an office software environment.
- Maintain work‑related equipment and parts inventory.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate Degree with a training emphasis in communication/computer electronics, or five or more years of technical on‑the‑job experience or military technical training, and a general RF background.
- Strong problem‑solving skills applied to digital and analog electronics with ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
- Professional, clear, verbal and written communications.
- Experience with electronic test equipment and test fixtures.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, bill of material, setup instructions, written work instructions.
- Unrestricted ability to travel domestically and internationally (Passport).
- Experience with programmable industrial controllers is desirable.
- Experience in heavy industry or the oil and gas environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems is desirable.
- Ability to work independently.

Physical DemandsFrequent hand motions and repetitive tasks requiring hand‑eye coordination for assembling parts, occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds to perform various duties, occasional immediate reaching and overhead reaching, frequent standing, occasional walking for short amounts of time, and extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
