Schedule

Monday thru Friday, including holidays. 10:00 AM to 4:00 pm. Times may vary. Work schedule may change based on production needs.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps >6 months in the past 36 months. If laid off or providing child/elder care, the gap may be increased up to 18 months. Full‑time student history does not apply to gaps.

Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days; no more than 3 prior hires at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining the office building, shower facility and main employee break room in a sanitary and orderly condition, including laundering clothes/towels while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Launder clothes and towels to maintain an adequate supply for all team members. (40%)
  • Clean break offices, break room, restroom, shower facility to include floors, walls, windows and furniture to ensure a clean, sanitary and orderly environment. (50%)
  • Other duties may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as ordering and retrieving supplies and maintaining a clean and organized work area. (10%)
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements

The job site is a security environment requiring showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company. Jewelry may not be worn except for medical  and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species and abide by the company biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must use safe lifting techniques. Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to approx. 50 pounds. Regularly required to stand most of the shift (concrete floor), walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects and controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, climb ladder, stoop/bend up to 300 times per day, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Good communication skills needed.

  • Washer, dryer, water hose
Environment
  • Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also work in hot, dry, extreme dusty, dark, wet, icy, snowy and cold environments.
  • Personal protective equipment:
    Safety goggles and/or glasses, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof aprons, company issued footwear. Ear plugs may be used as required. NIOSH approved N95 respirators may be worn as needed. Respirator required for formaldehyde application.
  • Chemicals commonly used: disinfectants such as Synergize, Lysol, bleach, insecticides, herbicides, rodenticides, formaldehyde, etc.
  • Safety:
    Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. Identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
