Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Janitor/ Part Time - 5pm-9pm

Performs general cleaning in office, warehouse and other building interiors to maintain a clean, orderly, and functional condition.

Essential Functions:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms/breakrooms/kitchen areas/ using established practices and procedures; follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
• Clean, dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restrooms and breakrooms/lunchrooms paper towel dispensers
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, mops, squeegees, vacuum for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Clean windows as required
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and

Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
• One year of relevant experience, preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
• Frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:

• Moderate Noise
• Excessive noise, hearing protection required (occasionally)
• Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors (occasionally)
• Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
• Sharp instruments including box cutters, scissors, and other tools used in packaging/shipping

The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear may be required
