Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping up-to-date equipment maintenance logs, inventory of machine parts, and updating the preventative maintenance manual quarterly. Performs the day-to-day routine maintenance of the facility as outlined by regulatory agencies and internal standards. The Maintenance Technician assists with all aspects of the property's maintenance including the preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance duties associated with a welding environment.
This person is also responsible for following the maintenance program to protect and maintain the property.
- Requires established organizational skills, with attention to detail and solid time management, and good interpersonal skills.
- As a key employee of the building operations interior and exterior, the Maintenance Technician is essential to the longevity of all equipment and the aesthetic nature of the property.
- The Maintenance Technician must perform the job duties with a view toward projecting a professional and competent image:
Service to inside and outside vendors in a friendly and outgoing manner is also essential, while timeliness and maintaining a clean atmosphere are key. - The position is fundamental to all mechanical functions of the facility and includes working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Technicians, Production Supervisors, as well as Production Employees.
- Strong leadership skills, customer service skills, technical skills, and problem solving abilities are required.
This position requires frequent exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions. The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines.
Qualifications- The schedule of the position is a full time (40 hour) position and required to be available for emergency calls.
- A minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience.
- Direct experience with maintenance planning and computer systems.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills required.
- Requires individual with a high degree of professionalism and the ability to work well independently and effectively with others, on a daily basis.
- Successful candidate will also be detail oriented, able to take directions from the Maintenance Supervisor and handle multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and see a work project through to completion.
- Must have strong working knowledge of basic trades, such as welding, electrical (up to 480
VAC, 3 Phase), plumbing, hydraulics/pneumatics, and painting equipment. - PLC and VFD experience is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical aspects, pumps, and motors, mechanical systems with a similar degree of complexity.
- Must be proficient and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel applications.
- Maintain a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation.
- Able to work on-call and extended hours (including after hours and weekends).
